OMG!
The RWA National Conference was…
Awesome…
Overwhelming…
Exhausting…
Exhilarating…
Freezing!
Just as my fellow MVRWA members told me it would be.
Well, maybe not the freezing part.
The Dolphin Hotel was so huge…
It had it’s own weather with climate change at every turn.
And I met the most awesome women.
And if you're reading this because you're a new follower
Thanks for following me, YOU'RE AWESOME!
But as far as the unknown factor…
Did I pitch?
Yes, both on Friday and on Saturday…
Deep in the catacombs of the Dolphin.
And?
Did I wear my hat?
Yes, but not when I pitched.
I figured…
I had to be the real me…
And they had to see my eyes.
So?
How’d I do?
I got two requests for the first three chapters!
WOO HOO! YEE HAW!
OK, it’s  the obligatory request (not a full)…
But I got so much more…
I got to see the reaction on the agent’s and editor’s faces…
When I pitched sitting right across from them at a table…
And I could see they liked what they saw and heard.
So today
Amidst several pressing things that also have to get done…
I will get my partial with synopsis and cover letter out.
And I’ll keep you posted.
(WOOO HOOOO! and YEEE HAW!)
Always, Em-Musing

Good morning, EM! So glad to hear you enjoyed National -- I knew you would! And thanks for being an amazing room mate and a great friend; for helping me practice pitching, helping me rework things, and just being an awesome support.

How many days until New York?

Good luck with those 'other duties' on your busy day. Hope all goes well. As far as your partials, I know those will be well received.
