UM

The alphabet is a journey of 26 letters...
Each letter begins a story.
Because of MVRWA…
(Maumee Valley Romance Writers of America)
I not only developed a thicker hide…
I also grew something else…
An invisible Umbilical cord…
That tethers me to this group of writers…
Who are always there…
If I need to cry on a shoulder…
Need encouragement…

Need to brainstorm…
Or just to have coffee and kvetch.
I’ve been with this group…
For five years now.
I’ve gone to several more retreats…
And although I’m now living in Mexico…
And can’t make all the meetings…
I’m still tethered with them…
With emails…
And hopefully Skype one day.
This is one Unbelievably supportive group.

What's next in this story?
Vell, "V" vill continue

Always, Em-Musing

Great post. Excellent U word 'umbilical', BUT are you a day off or am I. I posted V today.

Having a close-knit group is essential for us all.

Well done ma'am.

I'm popping in from Alex's place where you are one of two "unstoppable" women, for his U-Post!
Happy A to Zee'ing...

So great that you found a group of fellow writers. Skype is awesome. I'm sure you'll love it when you get it.

My RWA friends are the best and most supportive. It really is a great group.

I'd love to be a part of a group like that! How'd you end up in Mexico?
