POST IT NOT

Blog posts ideas…
Where do they come from?
Mine? Usually just pop in my head…
Sometimes they’re about something going on in my life…
Sometimes they’re about what’s going on in the world…
Or sometimes they’re about the writing life.
This morning though…
My brain was dry—a vast desert of nada.
So I went on a search through Word...
Looking for a forgotten treasure…
But all I could found was this stinker:
New novel title: WAITING TO BELCH
OK, not a good title for a novel…
But ya know what?
I’ve been waiting to belch all of my life.
Seriously!
I’ve been plagued with a gas bubble...
Stuck in my chest for years.
Call it a hiatal hernia..
Call it indigestion…
Call it GERD…
Call it gastritis…
Call it acid reflux…
Call it whatever you want…
But now…
Call it GONE with the Wind
(Just don’t ask which end)
Lord!
I shudder even thinking I wrote this.
What was I thinking? Or drinking?
Seriously, I’ve no clue where I was going with this…
Maybe to find room deodorizer?
Anyway…
What do you do when your blog posts run dry?
Have you ever embarrassed yourself by a blog post?
And what fires up your fodder?

Always, Em-Musing

Hahahaha--wow. I've never gone quite that far. I hate when I can't think of things to post, though, and sometimes I'm so stressed out that I just skip a post altogether.

HAHAHAHA. I do so enjoy a laugh so early in the morning.

"Gone with the Wind" *snorts*

I've got several blog thingy's that help when I run dry and can't come up with something cool and read-worthy. I'm sure the longer I blog, though, the more difficult it will become!

I won't ask! Funny!

Stupidity fires up my motivation to write. If I run dry, the ole blog stays silent.

I wish I kept notes of my thoughts, though, because there are so many good ideas I get when I'm not able to blog...and of course, I can never remember.

Definitely been embarrassed! I've been known to delete or changes posts after the fact.

Very funny. Ideas fly in and out of my brain minutely (is that a word?). Roping them and making them talk is another story or post.

I have these moments, too!! Sometimes there are days when ideas. just. won't. come. They're fickle that way.

This is great, that's what this is! I often have streaks in blogging. Sometimes I have a lot to say, and sometimes I'm banging my head against the computer. It's all about the experiences we're having, I think.

I think that when I first tried to start blogging, I did so with a theme in mind. But I quickly gave up because my mind doesn't work that way. I usually do not have any trouble coming up with a blog post. My life is literally so unfilled with actual people that I spend hours reading and looking at internet sites (some of them porn admittedly) that I just know what I want to talk about the next day. I read the New York Times, New Yorker, some WSJ (although their conservativeness pisses me off so I usually end up going somewhere else) and troll Reddit as well as io9. I know that what I post usually has nothing to do with writing but I figure, if people want to know about writing, they can go visit Nathan Bransford.

I never know what will fire up my fodder. Sometimes I start a post and it fizzles. Sometimes a post pops from nothing. And sometimes, it's gone with the wind. Love that, btw :)

Oh, man... some days, eh? I keep a list of sort of arbitrary ideas, so usually I manage, but I also have a set of funny pictures, so occasionally, I post something as simple as that to give me a break.

Emusing post. :) lol Yes, the well does run dry now and then. They usually end up being lame posts.

For some odd reason, when I'm putting on my makeup and blow drying my hair, I come up with blog posts. Unfortunately the best ones come when I've got to dash out of the house and don't have time to write them down!

I just look around me. Or listen around me. If I can think about it, I can blog about it. And, yes, I've embarrassed myself.

I usually get something on the spur of the moment, too. But when I don't... it can be a bit of a struggle!

I have more of a problem of too many ideas backed up to write about. Maybe my blog needs to belch.
