FLAG, THIS POST

Do you wonder about things…
That perhaps no one else does?
Do you see things others don't?
Is it the writer in you/me?
Or am I little off?
I wonder a lot...
So please don’t shoot me for my latest wonderment…
Which might seem irreverent…
But really, truthfully, and sincerely I’m not.
And I’m not being political either…
My blog is not for that.
But recently I've been wondering about news footage…
Specifically all the protests…
In the Middle East, and now other countries.
Of course the BIG wonder is: WHY?
And then…
I wonder about—flags.
I’m not kidding.
Where do the protesters get all the flags?
So fast?
Is there a major flag importer?
How many stores sell flags in these countries?
Back in the States and now here in Mexico
If I wanted to burn a country's flag...
(trust me, I would never)
I don’t know if I could find flags…
From around the world so easily.
And then…
There are all those big posters and banners I see...
Especially those with photos of heads of countries.
Whenever I had a banner or poster made in the States…
It too at least a day, or two.
So how do these countries get their banners so fast?
All I’m saying is…
Some things make me wonder.
What makes you wonder?

Always, Em-Musing

I like the way your mind works, Leigh. No way those people are running down to Kinko's to get things printed out so fast.

hahaha--wow, I totally never wondered that, but now I AM thinking about it! But then again, in this country, you can get a t-shirt or a mug or a sticker or a tattoo that says just about anything in a matter of a day or (an hour or) two, so ... maybe we just have our own preferred venues for self-expression.

Definitely with you on this! Great posting! Enjoyed reading I often wonder where all that patriotism went from the days following 9/11

I wonder about all kinds of things until they turn into a story. I'll bet that's how most books start. Loved to read what you were wondering about.

Never wondered those things exactly, but now that you point them out, I'm wondering too.

I do wonder about other things quite a lot. As a teacher and mom, I wonder things like 'what if we were all a little more kind to each other?' and 'why is my fridge empty if I just grocery shopped yesterday?'

I wonder why America allows prisoners to manufacture goods at .23 cents an hour and for companies to sell these goods to Americans when other manufacturers in America can't compete with this. I also wonder who's bright idea it was to open call centers in American prisons. Would you trust your credit card information to Bernie Madoff?

Interesting wonderment.

I too have thought; Could it be that there is something bigger behind all these so called 'local demonstrations', that is supplying them with a create your own crisis kit or something.

I always wonder when I see one shoe lying in the middle of the road. Where's the other one? And why is it always the left shoe?

Lol, where would you do they find all of those flags? You are not alone in the way you see things.

Mmmmm, you are right. I never thought of that. Thanks for visiting my guest post today and I appreciate your comment. I love a "thinking" blog and yours is thought provoking. I'll be back!
