FINGER ME, PLEASE!

Recently, I’ve posted about Shay
The author in my writer group, MVRWA...
Who writes erotica.
(actually there are three)
Well, a few weeks ago, while in the States…
I went to Panera Prison.
(a weekly gathering of writers)
After the usual “hi, how are ya’s”…
And begging for help on a submission...
I squealed, “Shay! Finger me!”
(sorry to the patrons who might have misconstrued)
But you see, Shay has a powerful finger…
That when she shakes it, it makes you do things…
You might not want do….
Like sitting your arse down and working hard...
To meet your goals.
And I need that kind of domination…
Especially here in Akumal…
Where I’ve not yet connected with other writers.
(or fingers)
Well, Shay fingered me that day...
But she also called Jenna
Another writer from MVRWA …
Who found an illustration of and then sent me…
The finger!
Finger Clip Art
At first I didn't get what it was...
And I thought eewww!
This guy’s manhood is so ugly…
Someone please give him some underpants.
But then I got it...
And now I'm going to get it.
I'm going to print and cut out that finger...
And paste it by my computer...
So whenever I need a visual thump on the noggin...
To work harder, Harder, HARDER...
I'll look at that finger...
And say, "Thanks Shay, you dominatrix you."
So?
Do you use tricks, methods, music, or mindsets...
To work hard to meet your goals?

HIPPY HOPPA

Aw…
I was just trying to be coy last Friday…
When I posted about falling in love.
Obviously, I’m not good at coy or metaphors…
Or putting photos on my blog.
It took me forever to get these photos up...
And today's post was supposed to be yesterdays.
Anyway, with that being said...
Sorry if I led many to believe…
It was a person I hoped to fall in love with…
Actually, it was Merida…
A 1542 colonial city in Mexico…
And oh yes, I did fall in love.
I stayed at Casa del Balam…
Right in the heart of the historical section…

Surrounded by centuries old cathedrals…
Like the Cathedral of San IIdlefonso…
Second oldest cathedral in the Americas.

I was in awe…
Because other than rocks and dirt…
The pews there are the oldest thing I’ve ever sat on.

But for me the story is tainted…
Because it’s made of bricks from Mayan temples…
That the Spanish demolished.
I toured the city by horse drawn carriage...
Went to several museums...
Like this Museo de Antropologia.

And...

Tah tah tah TAH!
I bought a new hat!
An original jipijapa hat…
(pronouced Hippy Hoppa)
A.k.a. Panama hat.
In the Yucatan, they're made by Mayan women in cenote caves…
Because the high humidity...
Allows the hat to be woven very tight...
And even after it's been crumpled...
It will keep it's shape.
Wish humidity would do the same for me.
So?
Other than earth...
What's the oldest thing you ever sat on?
Or...
Are you better at metaphors than I am?

THESE FLIP FLOPS WERE MADE FOR FALLING

I’m going to fall in love this weekend…
I just know it.
It’s a blind date, so to speak.
Everyone has told me…
It’ll be love at first sight…
And I’m ready to fall in love again.
I’m soooo excited!
Can’t wait!
But hmm?
What should I wear?
Especially what sandals?
Lots of walking will be involved…
So probably a pair of flip flops...
Because my feet tend to swell.
Oh well…
No one should be looking at my stubby feet…
Not when there’s so much else to see...
The capital of Yucatan...
The city called, the romantic "White City”
It’s the second oldest colonial city…
Established in the Americas in the 16th century…
When the Spanish came and conquered the Maya.
And so. mi amigos, hasta luego...
I’m off for the weekend to explore...
And adore Merida.
Have a great weekend yourself...
But tell me...
What are your plans for the weekend?
And have you fallen in love...
With anyone, anything, or any place lately?

I'D LIKE TO THANK...

Wow!
Thank you Maurice Mitchell.
This talented man (check out his blog)
Is a new follower of mine, by way of…
Well, I don’t know how you found me…
But you did …
Has awarded me this award.
That’s the good news.
The sad news is…
Because I didn’t use a Blogger template…
I cannot put fun things like this award…
Permanently in my blog.

What’s that saying from Hamlet?
"To thine own self be true"
And mostly I have…
But more than once, being true…
Whether its my blog or life...
Has had its consequences.
(some I’m still paying for)
So?
Has being true to yourself ever had consequences…
In your writing? Your life? Your relationships?

WRITER NEEDS SWAT TEAM

The other day,
I overheard a man say…
“The dengue got me.”
Dengue? (pronounced den-gay)
Hmm?
Maybe it’s Spanish for dingo?
Like in, “The dingo got my baby”
Spoken by Meryl Streep in, A Cry in the Dark .
(OK, she actually said, “dingo took my baby.”)
I’ll just Google
Dear God!
DENGUE!
As in Dengue FEVER!
Transmitted by mosquitoes in the tropics.
And wouldn’t you know it…
I am an insect magnet…
That attracts every sand flea, mosquito,
Tabano, and no-see um…
Within 50 yards!
And ya wanna know why?
I Googled this too...
It’s because I'm a heavy sweater, release more heat...
Produce more uric acid and cholesterol on my skin...
And pant out more carbon dioxide than most people.
YUCK! This not sexy!
And in case you think I'm overreacting (who, me?)
Here’s an article on Dengue Fever in yesterday’s paper.
