MAYAN CROSS

Strange things happen...
When you live in the tropics of Mexico..
Like me…
Well, I’m not saying I’m strange…
Though some would argue with that…
I’m saying a strange ‘magnet’ kind of thing is going on.
*explanation*
“You’re a manifester,” my spiritual friend, Donna said.
“You bring things to you.”
“Like what?”
“You prayed for protection one night…
And you got a cat brought by a dog,”
“And that is a Mayan Cross,” my other friend added.”
“Mayan Cross?”
According to ancient Mayans...
Dogs are the rulers of the night…
And black cats, usually jaguars, are protectors.
The fact that I couldn’t find research on this concept…
Didn’t negate what they said…
Because this tale may have been handed down verbally.
So while I’d been thinking of getting a dog…
I hadn’t made the decision to get a dog yet…
Until…
One showed up at my house a few weeks ago.
And not the same dog that brought my cat.

And speaking of my cat, Indie…
He wasn’t too pleased…
And did his best to torment the doggie.
But really?
If I am a manifester…
Why can’t I bring an agent and a contract to me?
So tell me?
Ever bring things into your life?
How’d you do it?

Always, Em-Musing

P.S. Manifester is not a real word…
Though I think it should be

Also, if you're a dog person...
And know what breed this is...
Please tell me. She looks like
a cross (not Mayan) between a
Great Dane and a lab.

You might be right about the mix. Little more Great Dane though. And they are both black. You have to keep her.
Start praying for the protection of an agent.

I like "manifester." I may have to use it in my daily speech now. ;)

I have brought things into my life, but like you not able to bring certain things that I 'think' I want about. Maybe it's more about a 'spiritual need' than a simple want. don't know for sure.

Hope you keep the dog. Not sure about the breed, but I can see the Great Dane about the head. Perhaps you need an early warning system more than you know. That's what I think manifestation is more about, bringing those things into our lives that we may not even know that we need.

What a beautiful dog. I'd lean toward Great Dane/Lab mix as well, but then again, all of my dogs are little ones, so I'm not quite an expert on the big guys.
