OH YOU, ITCH!!!

Here in the steamy jungle of Mexico...
There’re many crawly and flying things that bite…
And make you itch…
So much so...
You feel like you’re being attacked...
By little imps from hell!
There are:
Tabanos, tiny white moths, red ants, mosquitoes...
And no-see-ums, (don't know the local name) just to name a few.
But recently…
Something else was giving me an itch…
That I haven’t scratched in a long time...
And couldn't ignore any longer.
It’s me, you slacker!
Wha? Who?
Oh, don’t pretend you don’t know it’s me.
Oh it’s you! My blog!
You thought you could forget about me, didn’t you?
No, never, it’s just that I thought…
What? You were going to do more writing?
But…
And submitting to agents?
But…
Well, how’s that working for you?
Actually I have done quite a bit!
I’ve been writing for an International Travel mag.
Enough to give up blogging?
Well…
Admit it. You miss your blog, don’t you?
Um…
C’mon, you know you miss me.
OK, yes, I miss you and blogging!
And your followers were loyal?
Yes, they were loyal!
Well then, start me up again.
Just like that?
Of course! Fit me into your schedule.
OK. I will.
But do me a favor…
Yes?
DO do a makeover…
Make it fun and jungly.
Sure!. That’ll be fun.
But I’m warning you…
Warning me?
Next time you abandon me…
Yeah?
I’ll give you more than just an itch…
Uh, oh
It’ll be full blown case of hives! Got it?
Got it!
So?
Let me ask you dear readers, dear bloggers…
Ever put your blog on a hiatus…
And then you missed it so much it made you itch?
And was it worth it?

Always,
Em-Musing

You don't want hives - they're awful!
The longest break I've ever taken was a week. Maybe not even that. Long enough for vacation. But always eager to get back to my friends.

Hi, Leigh! Long time no see. I just came off a one month break and it was fun to catch back up with everyone.

I've never put mine on hold, at least so far. I think seeing so many people leave made me sure that I wouldn't do the same. There's some days where I don't feel like doing it, that's why I usually write stuff for the future. It can help on the days you feel burned out
