Finally! I’m back!
I’ve been without the Internet…
For daaays now…
And when I can’t connect…
To the rest of this world…
It feels like I’m on another planet….
Well… not that bad…
But the storms that came through…
Here in Akumal...
Were that bad…
Were that bad…
Knocking down lines...
And then it took some time…
To get them back up.
Anyway…
It’s been impossible to do and keep up with…
Posting on my blog and social networking…
But I’ll do my best to catch up.
While I was waiting for the Internet to reappear…
I went through lots of emotions…
Anger…
Frustration…
The old, 'woe is me’ syndrome…
To finally surrendering.
And then like a bolt from above...
Inspiration!
Instead of plugging into the Internet...
I plugged into me...
And I wrote, and wrote, and wrote, and wrote!
So?
Have you ever unexpectedly not had the Internet?
How did you feel when you couldn't connect?
Always, Em-Musing

Those are fabulous days! Where your mind yells at you to be productive so when the internet comes back on and the distractions reappear you've done something for yourself. Inspiration is fabulous! Happy Monday!
I think I go through the usual stages of withdrawal until finally finding something worthwhile to occupy my time. like writing! Glad you're back!
Was wondering where you'd been. Glad you're okay. and good for you for writing and writing and writing! Being without internet is awesome. But only in small doses. It frees you up for a time.
Glad to hear your muse found you while your internet was down. Sometimes what we need is for the distractions to go away so we can work.
We missed you oh-so-much at the MVRWA meeting on Saturday. Looking forward to seeing you at coffee soon.
So glad you're back with us! And even happier to hear you were writing while you were MIA!!!
I love time without the Internet! It seems like when I have it I HAVE to use it, so being denied can definitely be a good thing.
I love time away from the Internet when it's a planned vacation. When it's not on purpose I go through Internet withdrawal.
To me an internet disconnection feels like my idea of an amputation, but yes, I can be very creative when I'm not connected. Welcome back!
