AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
*BREATHE*
I’m not a sissy, OK?
But I just saw my first jungle spider…
And it wasn’t in the jungle…
IT WAS IN MY CONDO!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
*BREATHE*
Yeah, yeah…
I can hear you now…
“Leigh, you moved to the tropics…
What did you expect?”
Yes, of course I expected to see spiders….
Just not spiders as big as a king crab!
*BREATHE*
OK, maybe it wasn’t the size of a king crab…
How about a small crab?
Where’s an iguana when you need one?
And then…
And then…
I just saw my first tarantula…
Strolling across the street on the way to the beach.
It was SO big, cars stopped to let it pass.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
*BREATHE*
*BREATHE*
So the question begs to be asked…
Why was the tarantula crossing the street?
Me? I don't care why he was crossing...
Just as long as he's going in the opposite direction.
Me? I don't care why he was crossing...
Just as long as he's going in the opposite direction.
Always, Em-Musing

O_o Yipes! I'm cool with spiders unless they're in my home. When that happens ... I introduce them to the business end of my vacuum cleaner.
I could handle the spiders.
At least it wasn't a scorpion in your house. Maybe you should keep an iguana.
I love that people stopped their cars to let a spider pass. Now that's respect.
*runs away squealing*
Gotta love the tropics. Actually on my island we don't have those big hairy dudes (spiders, I mean) no snakes either, BUT the Iguanas are huge.
and that would be why I only want to visit that part of the world, not live there, because spiders and me are NOT friends. Thankfully here in Maine the spiders are all small enough to step on (I know, I'm mean, but there's a very good and horrific reason I don't like spiders). If I did live in the tropics I would absolutely have to have a husband.
Yikes. Time to call an exterminator!
