Mmm! You smell divine!
I love having you in bed at night…
With a glass of wine…
Exploring your mysteries within.
I love waking up with you and a cup of coffee.
And…
Anticipating a few stolen moments…
On a busy afternoon.
Or a quickie in a park.
And when you’re really, really good…
I like sharing you with my friends!
BOOKS, people! BOOKS!
I’m talking about reading a real book…
Versus reading e-books.
Yeah, yeah, I know…
e-books are convenient…
And I have tried, really I have…
But my eyes need a rest from digital images.
But more…
Reading an e-book versus a real book…
To me is like getting…
Digital images of flowers …
Versus getting real live flowers…
That you can touch, feel, and smell.
I also find enjoyment…
looking at the books on my shelf...
With their colors, fonts, images, and graphics.
Unfortunately…
Most of the e-books I've downloaded…
Have been forgotten somewhere in cyberspace.
How about you?
With their colors, fonts, images, and graphics.
Unfortunately…
Most of the e-books I've downloaded…
Have been forgotten somewhere in cyberspace.
How about you?
What’s your preference?
And why?
Always,
E-Musing

Sorry, complete eBook convert. Ever since that first iPad came out, I've been hooked. I found I read more because the books were right there. And I can buy more because they take no space.
I used to be the same way, but over the course of 3 years I read more and more (think 6 to 10 books a month) and digital books are just WAY too convenient. Plus I don't have the shelf space! I read about 80/20 now, favoring eBooks, but it took time to transition and those first few eBooks were a rough experience. I think the key to ereading is having the right reading device. It was an iPad for Alex, it was Kindle Paperwhite for me.
We've gotten rid of so many books since going digital and cleared up a lot of room. Not the hardbacks those. We'll keep those.
I'm indifferent, I find both have notable pros and cons
I prefer the real deal, a clever piece you've woven together indeed. Thanks for sharing and greetings!
Hi Em, I just popped over from Meno Mamma :) First time to your site. I enjoy your writing style!
I feel like an e-book although convenient and excellent for middle of the night reading when hubs is sleeping, is not even close to holding a 'real' book. I still don't even think of e-book as 'real'. I recently bought a classic title as e-book and I'm wondering if it will be as satisfying to read as if I held a used copy. For some weird reason, I feel that e-books are for contemporary work only.
