THE AGELESS QUESTION

Three-year-olds are so smart.
Why?
Because according to Tommy: The Blog…
“Smart people ask questions…
They challenge the very limit of understanding.”
And as any parent knows…
Three-year-olds challenge the very limit of patience…
By keep asking the same question—Why?
Why this? Why that? Why, why, why?
And they ask it so many times…
You just want to pinch…er, I mean kiss…
Their little cheeks and say…
“Because I said so.”
Or, “You don’t need to know—just because!”
I stayed home all day yesterday…
I putzed some, I read some…
But mostly I contemplated…
How life always has twists and turns…
And brings different people into your life…
Then one day there’s a new twist, and a new turn…
And *POOF* they’re gone.
So while scholars ponder the theory of relativity…
Most people wonder about the meaning of life…
Me?
I’d settle for a simple answer all three-year-olds ask…
Why?
What about you?
Are there burning questions you want answered?
Have any been answered?

Always, Em-Musing

I hope to get the answers some day. Right now I have a really long list for God. Of course, by the time I meet Him, I probably won't care.

Ha! Ah, to have the mind of a three year old. They're like little sponges. :)

Most of my questions are of the "Why Not?" variety.

This is so right. I'm always asking why why why? Never stops, even when you grow up. :) Yup, I'm a meaning of life ponderer ...

I adore kids' questions. All of them. Because they're asked with such honesty.

I love questions. I'm always asking questions and I like when people ask me questions.

Little kids are the best. Our soon-to-be five year old granddaughter visited us for a few days a few weeks ago and we had such a great time. The memories of that short visit will keep my wife and I entertained for months to come. They grow up way too fast. May they never stop asking questions.

I used to do the why thing for a long time when I was little.
