“Believe in yourself and in your own voice,
because there will be times in this business
when you will be the only one who does.
Take heart from the knowledge that an author
with a strong voice will often have trouble at
that start of his or her career because strong,
distinctive voices sometimes make editors nervous.
But in the end, on the strong survive.”

Only one who believes - so true!
Yes, very true. Great quote!
Yeah, I'm getting that message loud and clear.
Well if you don't believe in you, who else will?
And Hey, I meant to tell you, break a leg with your new venture. Well, you know what I mean. I think what you're doing is exceedingly exciting.
EVERYBODY in the Caribbean celebrates Carnival. Because of that it's not always on 'Fat Tuesday' or the week surrounding such. Our was at Three Kings Day -Epiphany - EVERYBODY in the Caribbean celebrates that also. (people in the States go - Three what Day?)The islands rotate Carnival - some people travel from island to island making them all or most of them. (Kind of like 'Dead Heads" - remember that?)
Carnival here is pretty WILD, but then,we make the rum, and it is always gone.
Good things happen to those who believe! Keep on submitting!
Oh, well said, well said!
Fingers are perpetually crossed for you. (It makes it hard to type, but you're worth it. :))
LOVE that!
I printed this and pinned it to the cork board above my desk. I think every writer should. :)
So very true. You go, lady! ;-)
