BEE, ALL THAT YOU CAN BE

I was sitting by a pool yesterday…
And an ant was there by me…
Walking back and forth…
To and fro…
For what? I have no clue.
I do know that their behavior…
Means something to them…
And it’s what they’re meant to do.
Well, that got me thinking…
Wouldn’t it be nice to know from birth…
What you’re meant to do?
I mean, the ant doesn’t have to decide…
Do I want to work or be lazy today?
Should I be doing something else in life?
And the ant wasn’t even distracted…
By human feet walking by almost crushing it…
He just redirected his path and continued on.
What a concept: redirect and continue on.
I then looked at everything around me…
Trees, flowers, birds, a gecko, even a bee…
They all had purpose…
All knew from the beginning of their existence…
What their destiny was. Without question.
None had to ask, “Why am I here? What’s my purpose?”
Hmm?
How peaceful not to have to question your destiny.
So?
Are you still wondering and searching?
Have you figured out your destiny?
And if so…
What helped you come to that realization?

Always, Em-Musing

That's what we get for having free will.
I know my purpose and am at peace.

Yeah, I guess it would be nice to know what I should be doing right off the bat so I wouldn't make any mistakes. :)

For the longest time I identified with the U2 song "Still haven't found what I'm looking for." I'm a little better now.

Things were pretty clear in my personal life. But it took me a long time to realize I should write the stories in my head.

I'm still searching. Maybe I'm meant to be a searcher.

My high school journals helped me find truth in searching and writing.
Though I veered off my course for many years, I'm content with my purpose in life. Love the story/poem and I can imagine those ants and geckos. Very cute.

I agree with Shay - I've always considerred myself a searcher as well :)
