I know this to be true because the other day…
I went to write a post and…

From black to white!
And I didn’t do it
It had to have been my zombie-fied blog!

And then for the last week…
Every time I open up my blog…
EEEEEEAAAAA!
I’ve lost followers!
But I don’t believe for a minute…
Thirty people have taken the time…
To “unfollow" me.
Because you know how it is…
You follow someone…
But you don’t always comment…
Nor do you “unfollow” them.
So my zombie-of-a-blog…
Must have devoured those followers!
Or wait…

There's been an issue with Google/Blogger lately regarding Followers - a lot of people have noticed a drop in numbers. Don't worry - you're not alone, and it's not personal! :)
Oh dear... a blog with a mind of its own. Hopefully it won't demand a bride next...
(and yes--I've lost a ton of followers, too--I think Blogger may be cleaning out inactive users or something--I am down about 100 people)
Google changed their policies and now only those with a Google account can follow via GFC. So it's not just you and your zombie blog.
Mine's not changed its background on its own. Yet. I did lose a bunch of followers, but everyone did this week.
I freaked out a little about the loss of followers too but then I learned it was something blogger did. I don't know what it means but it's a little creepy that some AI type thing steps in and changes your blog. But I just followed you so now you got one back..

I think blogger has been doing some clean-up over the last month. I lost six or seven followers recently, and many of my followers commented on losing their followers too. This week I lost three. The first time it happened I thought I'd offended folks. Now it just is what it is.
I KNEW Google was behind the follower drop recently. Siiiiiiigh. Not that it matters much nowadays anyway, since people use other ways to keep track of blog posts.

You've just made me wonder if Blogger has a time of day function the way Gmail backgrounds do -- they get lighter or darker depending on the hour!
