Location: A trendy local restaurant…
at a beautiful marina in Puerto
Aventuras
Action: Me showing photos on my cell phone:
“Look
at what wandered up to my front porch.”
“He’s huge. I wonder what he wanted."
"I was cooking bacon. Maybe he wanted some."
"HA!"
"HA!"
"Did you kill him?”
“No. I figure he’ll eat the scorpions.”
“And look at this guy who came up to my back patio.”
“Oh
he’s beautiful. Wonder what he wanted."
"I hear his favorite snack is tarantulas.”
"HAHA!"
"HAHA!"
"And look at this.”
Coral
or king?”
“Coral.
I hear they’re fairly timid.”
“You
know Xcaret has anti-venom.”
“Yeah.
If I get bit, I’m supposed bring the snake.”
“That’s
if you can kill it before it kills you.”
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHA1”
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHA1”
After our fit of hilarity...
It was obvious...
We definitely weren't in Kansas anymore.
And these guys weren't Toto.
So?
Was
there ever a time…
When
you knew you weren't in Kansas
anymore?
Always,
Em-Musing

Yes, last time I visited Mexico!
I could live with the first two, but not the snake. He'd lose his head for sure.
OMG, how can you live there? As for your question -- yeah, every single day I realize I'm not in Rhode Island anymore. We have copperheads, black widows, and brown recluse that like to live in shoes.
I'm glad those critters never showed up at my back porch.
I've always wanted to visit Mexico but while I could live the snakes and lizards I don't know about those spiders. I shudder just looking at that thing. You are a brave woman!
The spider kinda freaked me out :)
Hahaha welll.... In South Africa, we also have some lovely non-Toto creatures, so I can safely say I've never been in Kansas, literally or metaphorically. ;-)
It sounds like a place that will keep you paying attention to the local wildlife for sure.
I think I'd have a wildlife guide in my pocket...is this guy poisonous? How about this one? :-)
You have a lot of important guests that show up when they smell bacon cooking!! Cute, and enjoyed reading about it!!
I am also someone that wants to write and try everyday to blog, have joined a couple of blog hops, and a couple of groups...confidence, getting some helpful tips...all needed to actually sit down and begin. Any help at all would be appreciated, and I shall now follow your blog!! Thanks...www.sandysanderellasmusings.blogspot.com
Not a fan of snakes and spiders. Especially not those red-and-yell0w-kill-a-fellow kind of snakes.
I've been not in Kansas a few times.
Ha, ha, ha. Every Day. At least we have no snakes here, but we do have Mongoose.
