PULP FICTION late 1800s – mid 1950s
I’ve enjoyed posting with my Pulp Fiction theme, but I have to note, most of the covers are with half-clad women, breasts almost exposed, and many have the women in violent situations. This is all before TV.
The movies at that time were sensitive not to have too much sex or violence, but the pulps had no such boundaries. Why do you think readers were attracted to violence? And especially against women? And do you think readers today are?
